There are now seven cadets under arrest in connection to the theft of three LAPD patrol cars.
Public Information Officer Sal Ramirez says at least one person was pulled over.
“Who would think that a cadet would be a little bit better than what you would say a ‘normal kid’.”
Ramirez says they’re wondering what went wrong now that four more cadets are behind bars, raising the arrest count to seven.
Now the focus is on preventing this from happening again.
“Workspace inspections have been performed and we have identified some ways to tighten up security in those public places.”
Ramirez says there could be more arrests made, though he hopes there won’t be.
