With hundreds of thousands of people at the beaches this weekend, lifeguards had their hands full. The Orange County Register reports high surf and rip-currents created hazardous conditions. Lifeguards plucked 211 distressed people out of the surf in Laguna Beach yesterday. At Huntington Beach there were 136 rescues Saturday and more than 100 yesterday.
A high surf advisory will be in effect from 6 tomorrow morning until 10 Wednesday night.
