One of the issues congress is returning to is what to do about illegal immigrants brought into the country as children. California congressman Tom McClintock says Trump’s decision to rescind DACA, protecting them from deportation, was the right thing to do.
“That was an unconstitutional act to begin with and it can not continue as an open ended system and those who are currently registered in it… If they don’t have criminal convictions they ought to be given permanent legal residency, but if they want to apply for citizenship, they go to the back of the line. They don’t displace all of the people who are legally trying to obtain citizenship.”
