Hoffarth: LeBron decision to come to L.A. driven by personal considerations

LeBron James’ move to L.A. is not just about a desire to win

Veteran sports columnist Tom Hoffarth says LeBron James’ decision to abandon Cleveland for the Lakers is rooted in personal considerations.

“It’s not a championship decision. It’s a lifestyle decision. He’s got a wife. He’s got a son who is 13, who wants to play at Canyon High School in Chatsworth, which just won a state title. And in four years – think about this – in four years LeBron Jr, will be 17 and probably ready, at that point, to where the NBA decides that it’s done with its one-and-done rule. What are the chances of LeBron Jr. playing with the Lakers?”

Hoffarth says the announcement was made now to help LeBron recruit some other choice players to the Lakers.

Tom Hoffarth was a guest on McIntyre in the Morning.
