The DMV says you can now fill-out your driver license renewal online. So why the long lines?
Spokesperson Jessica Gonzalez says the DMV has been pushing online services for years.
”But now with the federally-compliant Real ID, we’re actually asking people to come in to our field offices. We are seeing those longer wait times but we are working on a number of solutions, including earlier field office hours and Saturday hours to try and ease those weekday wait times.”
And she says there’s no truth to the rumor that you’re not supposed to smile on your license photo.
”I think you just don’t want to change your face too much, too dramatically, but I don’t think we say don’t smile.”
