California lawmakers sent Governor Jerry Brown a bill that would allow them to live outside the districts they’re supposed to represent.
Katy Grimes, investigative journalist and author of “California’s War against Donald Trump: Who Wins? Who Loses?” says this is a prime example of the political rot in Sacramento.
”Particularly Los Angeles lawmakers are the ones that have been trying to get out of having to live in some of, we’ll just say, the dicier areas of the region.”
SB 1250 was authored by Senator Steven Bradford. He represents the same district in the Inglewood area where Senator Rod Wright was convicted for lying about his legal residence in Los Angeles County.
”These people have no business trying to get out of there and still claiming to represent the people there. If it’s such an s-hole to live there, then that needs to be dealt with by people who have the guts to do it.”
Katy Grimes was a guest on McIntyre in the Morning.
