More than 100 firefighters extinguished a stubborn fire at a multi-million-dollar house in Brentwood this morning.
Crews rushed to the 300 block of North Rockingham Avenue just before 4 this morning and were greeted by a huge fire burning at a vacant one-story ranch-style home.
The fire was burning in several areas of the attic, according to Los Angeles City Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.
It took firefighters two and a half hours to extinguish the blaze. There were no civilian injury, but several firefighters were examined and treated at the scene for extreme exertion. None required hospital care. The cause of the fire is under investigation. A damage estimate has not yet been issued.
