New Gun Restrictions Sitting On Gov’s Desk

The new law would bar people in California from buying more than one semiautomatic rifle a month. If Newsom decides to sign the bill into law, it would also make assault style weapons off-limits to people younger than 21, even if they have a valid hunting license.  Critics say state lawmakers should focus on criminals, not law abiding citizens. Gun groups say the idea would slow gun sales, which could mean fewer manufacturing jobs.
