As most California counties get permission from Sacramento to reopen more businesses and churches, officials in Los Angeles now say they want in. Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors Chair Kathryn Barger says in-store retail and house of worship in LA can reopen immediately. In her written statement she says LA will also seek permission from the state to reopen hair salons, barbershops and in-restaurant dining.
On Twitter:
“NOW OPEN: L.A. County is aligning with the State’s public health order, reopening in-person shopping and places of worship immediately! We’ve asked for restaurants and hair salons to be next, and are applying for a variance from the State.”
And this from the Mayor:
Los Angeles –– it is time to reopen.
It is time to get back to business. And it’s time to do it safely. https://t.co/m989tT9hyS
