(Oakland, CA) — A GoFundMe account is raising money for the family of a security officer who was shot and killed on duty Friday night in Oakland. The account has raised more than 40-thousand-dollars for the family of David Underwood of Pinole and his unidentified partner. They were working as federally contracted security officers when they were gunned down in a drive-by shooting outside of the Ron Dellums Federal Building near 12th and Clay streets. Underwood died while the second man was seriously wounded. The officers’ supervisor Jennifer Tong started the fund raiser. She says the two were ambushed in an act of violent cowardice.
