Third time a charm? Recall Newsom movement gets greenlight

The third attempt to recall Governor Gavin Newsom clears a hurdle with the California’s secretary of state. Orrin Heatlie, who is leading the effort, said his group will start the process of gathering one-point-five-million valid signatures by November 7th to recall the governor in a special election. Tom Del Beccaro, who used to head the state’s Republican Party, said that Newsom has failed as a governor and also denies the severity of the coronavirus health crisis. Backers of the recall effort add that Newsom’s stay-at-home orders have led to overregulation, high taxes, and Second Amendment violations.
