(Los Angeles, CA) — Los Angeles Unified School District Superintendent Austin Beutner is announcing changes today to school policing . Starting on July 1st, students will no longer be subject to random wanding. School officers will be prohibited from using pepper spray and will no longer be allowed to use a carotid restraint on students. Beutner is also creating a task force to review the budget and policies of school police.
