Contact tracing is one of the highly-touted weapons in the fight against the coronavirus– and seems to have wide approval. if you got a call looking for info on people you have come in contact with, how would you react? New York City has hired 3,000 ‘contact tracers’- and many are finding the job of finding those who came in contact with a COVID-19 positive person difficult. And when those people are found, they seldom comply.
The New York Times reported:
Only 35% of the 5,347 city residents who tested positive or were presumed positive in the first two weeks of the program gave information about close contacts, the city said in releasing the first statistics.
