(Issaquah, WA) — Costco is no longer selling its half sheet cakes. Instead the company is pointing customers towards its 10-inch round cakes and other assorted confections to use for birthdays and celebrations. But the company has also done away with sheet cakes because they can serve up to 50 people and could encourage large gatherings, which goes against the recommendation of health officials. Half sheet cakes are the latest item to be dropped from Costco’s offerings among pandemic cut-backs.
