California Governor Orders Closures In 19 Counties
(Sacramento County, CA) — California Governor Gavin Newsom is instructing business sectors in certain counties to close indoor operations. Due to a surge in coronavirus cases, the governor said the order applies to 19 counties that have been on the state’s County Monitoring List for three straight days. Among those include Los Angeles County, Kern, Sacramento, Riverside, and Orange. All indoor restaurants, bars, movie theaters, family entertainment centers, and museums must close for at least three weeks. Newsom said the group of counties account for over 70-percent of the state’s population. As Fourth of July weekend approaches, he encouraged counties with closures to cancel firework shows. LA County beaches and all southern California and Bay Area beach parking facilities to be closed.
