(Los Angeles, CA) — The 2020 class of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is recognizing more women and minorities. The organization announced Tuesday the new 819-member Oscar-voting list includes 45-percent women, 36-percent underrepresented ethnic and racial communities, and 49-percent international from nearly 70 countries. Those numbers more than double the Academy’s inclusion goals set in 2016 to double by this year. The 93rd Academy Awards is set for April 25th.
