New Study Finds One Human Year Does Not Equal Seven Dog Years
(Undated) — One human year does not equal seven dog years. A new study from the University of California School of Medicine debunked the popular way of calculating a dog’s age in human years. The study says dogs reach maturity faster but slow down in aging after doing so. The lead author says the one to seven-year ratio doesn’t make sense because a dog can reproduce when it’s less than one-year-old while a human cannot at the age of seven.
