(Washington, DC) — It’s apparent Americans are not traveling as much during the coronavirus pandemic. On Monday, TSA reported a 73-percent decline in the average number of air travelers passing through checkpoints over Fourth of July weekend from last year. Less than 500-thousand people crossed through security checkpoints on July 4th, nearly two million less than last year’s numbers on the same day. Virus cases have surged in cities and states nationwide in recent weeks.
