Twin Cities Have To Look Elsewhere After Federal Money Denied To Rebuild Following Riots

(Minneapolis, MN) — Leaders in Minneapolis have to figure out alternative ideas after they were denied federal funds to rebuild following the riots following the death of George Floyd. FEMA denied the state’s request for nearly 16-million-dollars in aid Friday to help rebuild structures in the twin cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul. The monies would’ve been used to reimburse local governments for removing debris and repair and rebuild structures. The state has 30 days to appeal the decision.
