LeBron James Will Wear Own Name on Jersey

(Undated) — The NBA is returning at the end of the month, and in an effort to keep momentum rolling with the Black Lives Matter movement, players will be allowed to wear alternative titles on the back of their jerseys showcasing social justice phrases. So far, 17 players have elected to wear their own name on their back, going against the majority of players who have chosen to bear one of the given phrases. Most notably, perhaps, is Lakers Superstar LeBron James, and his All-Star teammate Anthony Davis. When asked about the decision by reports with ESPN, LeBron says he commends anyone that decides to put something on the back of their jersey. He says “It’s just something that didn’t seriously resonate with my mission.”
