(Los Angeles, CA) — Four people are behind bars on suspicion of battery on a Los Angeles police officer. The LAPD says the altercation happened Tuesday afternoon during what might have been a large protest downtown. The department says the officer was dealing with someone who “wasn’t behaving” before radioing they needed help. One of the suspects was hurt and hospitalized, prompting a use-of-force investigation. Those injuries aren’t said to be life-threatening and there’s no word on how bad the officer may be hurt, or on what the protest was about.
