Everyone is allowed to indulge in some bad good foods today as it’s National Junk Food Day. Though the origin of the holiday is unknown, it is known that the term junk food and it’s bad reputation stemmed from microbiologist Michael Jacobson, who in the 1970s was focused on curbing its consumption. These foods have little nutritional value and contain high fats, sugars, salt and calories, but as bad as they are eating it every once in a while should not affect a healthy diet and what better day to enjoy them. Eat responsibly.
