(Los Angeles, CA) — Los Angeles is reporting a record number of car thefts during the coronavirus pandemic. Crosstown reports, April through June saw more car thefts that any other time since the LAPD starting making the information public. Over five-thousand-700 vehicles were stolen during those months, an increase of almost 58-percent from last year. LAPD officials are reminding residents to always lock your car and refrain from keeping valuables inside of it. Some suspect the ill-planned no-cash bail state mandate played a role in the increase.
