WH Press Sec Defends President Deploying Federal Help To Cities
(Washington, DC) — White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany says President Trump is committed to protecting the American people. She tells Fox News his decision to send more federal help to cities dealing with violent crime isn’t an effort to distract from the coronavirus pandemic. She says city officials like Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot should be open to the federal government trying to help. Federal agents have come under scrutiny for actions during violent protests in Portland. The effort called Operation LeGend is named for a four-year-old boy in Kansas City who was shot and killed while sleeping.
