(Washington, DC) — President Trump claims he is taking bold action to reduce prescription drug prices. Trump touted four new executive orders during a White House event and called them “sweeping.” He said the actions will lead to massive reductions in prescription drug prices. Trump argued that the prescription drug market will be completely restructured. He said that will include allowing importations of safe and legal drugs from Canada and other countries. Trump noted that significant cost savings will be achieved.
Trump said the prescription drug system in the U.S. has been “rigged” for a long time. He insisted that he is in the process of “unrigging” the system. Trump argued that it should have been done long before now.
