President Trump is declining the Yankees offer to throw out the first pitch before a game in the Bronx next month. Trump taking to Twitter Sunday, saying that because he’s focused on the coronavirus, the economy, and has scheduled meetings on vaccines, he won’t be able to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at Yankee Stadium August 15th before the Bombers’ game against the Boston Red Sox. The President adding he hopes he can do it later in the season. Major League Baseball began a shortened 60-game season last week due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and all the games are being played without fans in the stands.
