(Washington, DC) — The proposed stimulus bill in Congress includes another round of 12-hundred dollar checks to Americans. The HEALS Act, put forward by Senate Republicans, has that in common with a three-trillion dollar plan from House Democrats. The plan would send 12-hundred dollars to individuals making up to 75-thousand dollars with 500 for each dependent, not just children this time. Couples making up to 150-thousand dollars would be eligible for 24-hundred dollars. It’s not clear when they payments would be sent out, but Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin says he’d like to see the legislation ready to go by Friday.
