Former LA Angels Employee Charged in Connection to Death of Tyler Skaggs

(Los Angeles, CA) — Former Angels employee Eric Kay is being charged for distributing the drug fentanyl to pitcher Tyler Skaggs, who died of an overdose in July. The Los Angeles Times reports that the former Angels communication director was arrested in Texas by federal authorities, according to court documents. Skaggs was discovered unconscious in his hotel room before the Angels were set to play the Texas Rangers. A toxicology report later found the opioids fentanyl and oxycodone in his system.
