Victims Will Face Golden State Killer At Sentencing This Month

(Sacramento, CA) — The admitted Golden State Killer will be facing his victims in two weeks. According to sentencing details released Thursday, victim impact statements will be read beginning on August 18th. Judge Michael Bowman says he will place no limits on how long victims are allowed to speak. The first statement is expected to come from a Sacramento women who Joseph James DeAngelo raped when he was known as the East Area Rapist. The final sentencing hearing will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday, August 21st, in the main ballroom at Sacramento State University.
