Macy’s plans to “reimagine” the annual Thanksgiving Day Parade in November amid the coronavirus pandemic. This summer, Macy’s modified its 4th of July Fireworks display to include smaller shows across the five boroughs over multiple days. The shows were at unannounced locations to keep crowds from gathering. The official website for the parade reads: “For more than 90 years, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade® has kicked off the holiday season with its signature entertainment spectacle, making it one of the world’s most beloved events.” Macy’s said more details about the parade will be released in the fall.
