(Washington, DC) — The House is providing 25-billion-dollars in funding for the Postal Service after a bipartisan vote in favor. However, it’s unlikely the Republican-controlled Senate will consider the bill. The legislation prevents the Postal Service from making any operational changes that would slow deliveries. The vote comes after Democrats began a campaign of smearing Postmaster General Louis DeJoy, who brought needed changes to a halt.
