More Records For Nasdaq, S&P 500
(New York, NY) — The Nasdaq and S&P 500 continue to set new records. Both indexes closed at record highs after some big names had fantastic days. Those include Netflix rising by more than eleven-and-a-half percent and Facebook adding more than eight-percent. Trading on Wednesday ended with the Dow Jones Industrial Average gaining 83 points to 28-331. The S&P 500 added 35 points to 34-78. The Nasdaq had the best day of all the indexes as it rose 198 points to 11-665.

It was a big day for tech stocks as Netflix surged more than eleven-percent after a report said subscribers to the streaming giant have high loyalty. Not to be outdone, Facebook closed above 300-dollars a share as it gained eight-percent. Microsoft led the gainers on the Dow. At the closing bell, the Dow Jones Industrial Average gaining 83 points to 28-331. The S&P 500 finished at yet another record high as it added 35 points to 34-78. The Nasdaq also had another record close as it jumped 198 points to 11-665.
Salesforce jumped 26-percent Wednesday following earnings that were released yesterday. The company reported more than five-billion-dollars in revenue. On the healthcare front, Moderna said older patients are displaying good signs in a trial for its coronavirus vaccine. That sent the stock up by more than six-percent. Energy stocks had some of the worst numbers of the day. Marathon Oil, Diamondback Energy, and Occidental Petroleum all fell by at least three-and-a-half percent. The Dow finished positive on the day, but Walgreens, Exxon Mobil, and Boeing kept it from gaining even more.
