(Washington, DC) — The Postal Service is handing over documents subpoenaed by the House Oversight and Reform Committee. Committee Chairwoman Carolyn Maloney told MSNBC they’ve received information on overtime, blue mailboxes and election mail, but not on the sorting machines. The New York Congresswoman says they also want information on how he was appointed as Postmaster General in the first place. She says they requested information multiple times, but the Postal Service didn’t comply. They issued the subpoena Wednesday as they investigate changes DeJoy made to the U.S. Postal Service ahead of an election where many ballots will be mailed in.
