Husband Of Senator Dianne Feinstein Caught Up In UC Admission Scandal

(San Francisco, CA) — Senator Dianne Feinstein’s husband is one of many at the center of a UC admission scandal. Richard Blum is member of the University of California Board of Regents. An independent audit released on Tuesday found that Blum wrote “an inappropriate” letter of recommendation for an applicant. Regents are allowed to send letters of recommendations, but only “through the regular admissions process.” Blum says that he was never told that sending letters of support directly to UC chancellors was wrong. He faces disciplinary action for violating UC policies on letters of support.
