JPL Scientists Say School Bus-Sized Asteroid Passing By Earth

(Pasadena, CA) — An asteroid the size of a school bus is zooming by Earth today Scientists at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California say the asteroid is believed to be between 15 and 30 feet long. It is expected to travel 13-thousand miles above the Earth’s surface and may pass by satellites orbiting about 22-thousand miles away from Earth. Officials say it will be a safe sighting as the asteroid doesn’t pose a threat. Whew!
