Woman Arrested During Protest/Counter-Protest
(Yorba Linda, CA) — A 40-year-old woman is being held after a Black Lives Matter demonstration and counter-protest turned violent Saturday afternoon in Yorba Linda. Tatiana Turner of Long Beach was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and attempted murder when a vehicle drove through the crowd during the protests. Police say Turner was exiting the Yorba Linda Public Library parking lot when she drove her compact car through an intersection and struck a man and woman. The man’s legs were broken while the woman suffered major injuries. It’s not known how fast the vehicle was traveling. Turner is described as a Caravan of Justice supporter — which is a car-based protest in solidarity with Black Lives Matter. BLM supporters were marching along Imperial Highway near Yorba Linda Boulevard when they were met with insults shouted by people carrying American flags and Trump 2020 banners.
