Trump Makes First Comments Since COVID Diagnosis
(Washington, DC) — President Trump says he’s doing “very well” after testing positive for the coronavirus. Trump tweeted a video of himself before departing for Walter Reed medical center and thanked everybody for their support. He added the hospital visit is to “make sure things work out” and said the First Lady is also doing well. The President arrived at the hospital Friday evening and is expected to stay there for a few days.

Trump Headed To Walter Reed Hospital For COVID Treatment
(Washington, DC) — President Trump is headed to the hospital less than 24 hours after testing positive for the coronavirus. Officials expect him to be there for a few days. The 74-year-old Trump is said to have mild symptoms such as a cough and headache. The White House doctor says Trump was treated with an experimental coronavirus antibody cocktail and “remains fatigued.” The First Lady and Trump’s top aide are also sick.

The former VP shared a stage with President Trump during the first presidential debate in Cleveland this week, though they were separated by more than six feet. The President and First Lady Melania Trump have since tested positive for the coronavirus. Both are reporting mild symptoms as they are quarantined in the First Family’s residence in the White House.

(Washington, DC) — Democratic Vice Presidential nominee Kamala Harris doesn’t have the coronavirus. An aide to the California senator tells NBC News Senator Harris tested negative yesterday. Meantime, the senator and her husband are wishing President and Mrs. Trump the best as they fight the virus. Harris tweeted that they wish the Trumps “a full and speedy recovery.”

She’s the latest high-profile member of the GOP to come down with the virus following news that President Trump and the First Lady also tested positive. News that McDaniel is infected came soon after she tweeted her well wishes to the Trumps. She wished them “a speedy recovery.”
White House: Barrett Tests Negative For Coronavirus After Trump Diagnosis
(Washington, DC) — The White House says Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett is testing negative for the coronavirus. Barrett was with President Trump at the White House this past Saturday. Trump has since tested positive for the coronavirus. The chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee told reporters that Barrett’s speedy confirmation process is on track. South Carolina Republican Lindsey Graham said Barrett’s confirmation hearings will start on October 12th, as scheduled.
Graham noted that he spoke with the President by phone and said he is in good spirits. Trump nominated federal Judge Barrett to replace liberal Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who died recently after a long fight against cancer. Republicans are rushing to get the conservative Barrett confirmed before the November 3rd presidential election. Democrats argue that the winner of the election should choose Ginsburg’s replacement.
(Washington, DC) — President Trump says he and the First Lady will quarantine after they both tested positive for the coronavirus. The President broke the news on Twitter. He said they will begin the recovery process immediately and will get through this together. Trump and his wife were tested after one of his closest aides, Hope Hicks, tested positive earlier Thursday. All three attended a campaign rally in Duluth on Wednesday. Hicks developed symptoms during the trip to Minnesota.
Hicks was with Trump at Tuesday’s debate with former Vice President Joe Biden.

(Washington, DC) — Vice President Mike Pence and his wife are testing negative for the coronavirus. They took tests this morning after President Trump and the First Lady tested positive last night. Pence is last known to have been with the President on Tuesday when they met in the Oval Office. President Trump’s adviser Hope Hicks tested negative Wednesday morning, but started experiencing symptoms later that day. She was isolated on a return flight on Air Force One and tested again Thursday. This time it came back positive.

(undated) — World leaders are sending good wishes after President Trump and the First Lady were diagnosed with the coronavirus. India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi was quick to tweet his support, and wished the Trumps a quick recovery and good health. Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan also wished them a speedy recovery, as did the prime minister of Poland, the president of the European Council, and the British government.
