Former Angels’ Employee Indicted By Federal Grand Jury Over Skaggs Drug Death

(Los Angeles, CA) — A former employee of the Los Angeles Angels is facing an indictment over the drug overdose death of pitcher Tyler Skaggs. Eric Kay is facing two counts in connection with the 2019 death of Skaggs in a Texas hotel room. The Texas federal grand jury indictment accuses the former Angels media relations worker of delivering drugs to Skaggs. He has not yet entered a plea. Skaggs had alcohol, fentanyl and oxycodone in his system when he died.
