Fire Damages Some Ballots In California

(Los Angeles, CA) — The Los Angeles County Fire Department says a fire inside a ballot drop box is under investigation. Crews extinguished the flames inside the secured drop box outside the Baldwin Park Library on Sunday night. Arson investigators are now handling the case. It’s not clear what started the fire and no suspects are in custody. There are reports multiple ballots were damaged. Registered California voters automatically get a ballot that can be mailed or dropped off at an official drop box or polling station.
