L.A. County Could Enact Stricter Stay-At-Home Order As Early As Sunday

(Los Angeles, CA) — Los Angeles County could enact its own stay-at-home order that goes beyond the state’s restrictions by Sunday. If it happens, only essential workers and people going to essential locations would be allowed to leave their homes. There would also be a nightly, countywide curfew placed on all residents between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. A local nighttime business curfew and other restrictions start tonight before similar state-issued orders begin tomorrow. L.A. County Sheriff Alex Villanueva says his department plans to continue educating people on the governor’s restrictions rather than enforcing them.
