(New York, NY) — The first COVID-19 vaccine could soon be available in the U.S. Pfizer and German partner BioNTech are applied Friday for emergency use authorization from the FDA. If granted, government officials expect to inoculate about 20-million people in December using both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. The first to get the vaccine will be people who are at high risk. The government says it hopes to have 25 to 30 million more vaccines available in January.
