AAA: Wait And See Attitude When It Comes To Thanksgiving Travel

(Washington, DC) — Things are constantly changing with the coronavirus pandemic and that’s affecting Thanksgiving travel. Andrew Gross with Triple A says the wait-and-see attitude is very much happening. The Auto Club forecasted up to 50 million Americans traveling over the holiday, but Gross says that could be even lower due to many factors including quarantine restrictions. The forecasted ten-percent drop in travel is the largest since 2008 at the height of the Great Recession. Gas prices will be cheaper for those who decide to hit the road. However, Gross says that won’t lead folks to a bigger holiday for Americans. Gross also wants people to think about their cars. He says this may be the first road trip many have taken in quite a few months. He urged people to do the basics like check their tires and tire pressure.
