Effort To Recall Newsom Gets An Extension

(Sacramento, CA) — The “Recall Gavin” movement is still gathering signatures to oust California’s governor. Negative political “experts” note that it’s a long shot effort that requires time and money. Due to the pandemic, the group was given more time to get almost 15-million valid signatures by March 17th. SFGate says the movement is causing Newsom to notice- read here: https://www.sfgate.com/politics/article/Recall-Gavin-Newsom-signature-report-COVID-new-20-15788341.phpNewsom’s political consultant Dan Newman said the group appears “to be pro-Trump anti-vaccine extremists.” Founder Orrin Heatlie says they are opposed to Newsom’s stance on immigration, the death penalty, and sentencing sex offenders and the authoritative site Ballotpedia says “Recall supporters criticize Newsom over his response to the coronavirus pandemic, tax increases, the high rate of homelessness, sanctuary city policies, suspension of the death penalty, rationing water use, as well as restricting parental rights”. Newsom has faced increasing protests over a combination of issues including stricter lockdowns without scientific foundation, his flaunting of his own rules at the French Laundry, power outages and spending $80,000,000 on billboards to fight COVID.
