(New York, NY) — Governor Cuomo is making a push to reopen the economy. He said yesterday on Twitter the state can’t stay closed until the vaccine hits critical mass because the cost is too high and there will be nothing left to reopen. Cuomo says we must reopen the economy and do it smartly and safely. Critics argue this comes at a time where his fellow Democrat Joe Biden is about to be sworn in as President. Some say Cuomo is in a way admitting it was a mistake to close down things and just made people congregate in their homes and spread coronavirus that way.
