The official Gavin Newsom Recall Campaign is demanding that the California Democratic Party immediately cease and desist it’s campaign of slander and defamation against the recall effort and the over 1 million Californians who have signed on. Their press release singled out CDP Chairman Rusty Hicks who described the recall effort as a coup. It also mentioned other notable Democrats, including San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria and Long Beach Mayor Robert Garcia. Randy Economy, senior advisor to recallgavin2020.com says the CDP should instead focus its attention on helping California rebuild from the devastation caused by Newsom’s failed policies.
