(Washington, DC) — Congressman Jim Jordan says the influx in migrant caravans heading toward the U.S. should have been expected. The Ohio Republican believes President-Elect Joe Biden’s promises for immigration reform is drawing a crowd of migrants to the southern border.
Biden previously said he would be rolling back many of President Trump’s policies that were used to tighten the border. This comes as reports say upwards of eight-thousand people are making their way from Guatemala toward the U.S. as they seek asylum.
Congressman Jordan says the ball is now in Biden’s court to see how his administration will handle the crisis at the southern border.
