(Washington, DC) — President Biden will take a different route in relations with China than his predecessor. In an interview with CBS Evening News, Biden explained that when dealing with Beijing, his administration will “focus on international rules of the road.” The President noted that there need not be conflict between the two superpowers, but he added “there’s going to be extreme competition.” Biden said he’s known Chinese President Xi Jinping for a long time, spending hours in meetings with him when he was President Obama’s VP. The two leaders haven’t spoken since Biden’s inauguration, but Biden assured that’s not because of any particular reason. Meanwhile, Hunter Biden is under federal investigation. Read more here:
