Elderly Woman Dies After Getting COVID Vaccine At Cal Poly Pomona

(Pomona, CA) — A 78-year-old woman is dead after receiving the coronavirus vaccine at Cal Poly Pomona. The woman started complaining of discomfort as she was being monitored for symptoms after being injected with the Pfizer vaccine on Friday afternoon. Then she fell unconscious. She died at the scene despite paramedics’ life-saving efforts, but doctors do not believe she died from the vaccine. According to officials, she was not showing signs of a severe allergic reaction or anaphylactic shock. The woman’s family also says she had a history of heart ailments. The Cal Poly Pomona vaccination site will stay open despite the death.
