(El Segundo, CA) — Plant-based food supplier Beyond Meat is making deals with fast-food giants McDonald’s and Yum Brands. However, its stock is falling after the company’s disappointing earnings report. Beyond Meat will supply the patty for the McPlant burger, which is being tested in select markets. They also plan to develop pork, chicken and egg substitutes for McDonald’s. They will work with Yum Brands to make exclusive items for their KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut restaurants. The company reported it lost about 34-cents per share, which was 21-cents more than expected. It brought in one-point-three million dollars in revenue less than Wall Street expectations.
