“Bill to reopen schools” is really a “Bill to try to reopen pre-k to second grade” NOT to reopen all schools for in-person learning for most kids. Be aware.

(San Diego, CA) — Governor Gavin Newsom is signing the bill approved by state lawmakers to reopen California’s public schools. He signed the measure during a live video ceremony with legislative leaders. Money from the six-point-six billion dollar bill will be used to help schools reopen safely. For a school district to get its full share of the funding, it must resume in-person learning for K-through 2nd grades and at least one middle or high school grade by April 1st.

California Governor Gavin Newsom says that with declining coronavirus cases in the state, this is the right time to reopen schools.
